Samoa Joe is the new ROH World Television Champion.

On this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Joe defeated Minoru Suzuki to win the title in the main event. Joe and Suzuki worked a stiff match with numerous chops, slaps, and strikes. The audience erupted as they squared off to start the match. Joe won with a Muscle Buster.

Minoru Suzuki won the ROH TV Championship at Supercard of Honor during WrestleMania weekend. Supercard of Honor was the first ROH event since the company went on hiatus at the end of 2021. Tony Khan purchased the company from Sinclair Media Group at the beginning of March. After the match, Jay Lethal walked to the ring and interrupted Joe’s celebration. As he did, the lights went out and Satnam Singh made his debut. Singh attacked Joe with Lethal and Sonjay Dutt.

Samoa Joe made his return to ROH on Supercard of Honor as well. In the main event, Jonathan Gresham defeated Bandido to win the Undisputed ROH World Championship. After the match, Jay Lethal walked out and confronted Gresham. Joe appeared to make the save and he’s been feuding with Lethal on AEW since then. Last week on Dynamite, Joe debuted for AEW and qualified for the Owen Hart Foundation tournament by beating Max Caster.

Joe was a member of the inaugural class of the Ring of Honor Hall of Fame. Other inductees were C.M. Punk, Bryan Danielson, and The Briscoes.
