SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
Monday’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw was viewed on average by 1.8 million fans. The show was anchored by Raw in-ring return of Cody Rhodes and The Uso’s appearing from Smackdown to challenge RK-Bro for a tag team title unification match.
This number is down approximately 300,000 viewers on average from last week’s post-WrestleMania episode of Raw. The hour-by-hour viewership numbers broke down like this:
- 8pm EST – 1.836 million
- 9pm EST – 1.935 million
- 10pm EST – 1.639 million
In the coveted adult 18-49 demographic, this week’s episode drew a .54 rating — also down from last week’s post-Mania show. The Cody Rhodes match against The Miz took place at the top of the second hour and was promoted as such on Raw by the announce team. Viewership increased nearly 100,000 viewers from hour one to hour two — an increased from last week’s show.
Other matches on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw included Damian Priest vs. A.J. Styles, Dominik Mysterio vs. Veer, Naomi vs. Liv Morgan, Queen Zelina vs. Bianca Belair, RK-Bro vs. Alpha Academy, and an impromptu bout between the invading Usos from Smackdown and The Street Profits.
Two matches that had been promoted for this week’s episode did not take place. Rey Mysterio was scheduled to be Veer’s opponent, but couldn’t compete due to a medical issue. The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship was also supposed to be on the line in a match between Sasha Banks & Naomi and Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan. Ripley was sidelined in the “protocol” and did not participate in the show.
