Impact Wrestling Announcers: Tom Hannifan, Matthew Rehwoldt

-Clips from last week and footage of Moose attacking Josh Alexander’s wife at a wrestling show in Canada over the weekend.

-Josh Alexander was shown arriving backstage at Impact. Scott D’Amore confronted him and said that he sent Moose home. Scott said he would recommend that Moose be stripped of the Impact World Championship and suspended. Alexander grabbed Scott and said that he needed Moose in the ring. Scott agreed.

-Weekly Impact Wrestling show open aired.

-Jonathan Gresham walked to the ring. He talked about Honor No More. He said the foundation of ROH was built by people like Samoa Joe, Bryan Danielson, C.M. Punk, himself, and Eddie Edwards. He said that Eddie represents something other than honor now. He said that he would face Eddie at Impact Wrestling Rebellion.

Kenny King walked to the stage. He said that Gresham disgusted him. He called Gresham a great technical wrestler but he was a puppet and a stooge for ROH. He said that he should join with Honor No More. King said he wasn’t interested in the title, he was here to finish the job and pound Gresham into the dirt.

(1) JONATHAN GRESHAM vs. KENNY KING

After a lockup, King hit Gresham while the referee was breaking them up. Gresham worked King’s arm. King raked Gresham’s eyes and did a spinning dive on him to the floor. King kicked and suplexed Gresham on the outside. Back in the ring, King continued on offense. Gresham connected with a dropkick.

Gresham chopped King. Gresham snapped King’s knee over the middle rope. Gresham missed a dive from the top rope and held his knee. [c]

King chopped Gresham and gave him a spinebuster for a two count. Gresham tried to take King down, but King slapped him. They went back and forth until Gresham stomped King’s knee. Gresham rolled King up for a two count. King gave Gresham a full nelson suplex and a Tiger Driver for a two count. King rolled up King for a two count.

Gresham kicked King and put him in the figure four leg lock. Gresham had King in a standing leg lock and pinned King.

WINNER: Jonathan Gresham in 13:00.

-After the match, Eddie Edwards attacked Gresham from behind. Rocky Romero made the save. Gresham and Romero dropkicked King and Eddie out of the ring.

(D.L.’s Take: Good back and forth match. It seems like Gresham may stick around for awhile.)

-Hannifan and Rehwoldt appeared on camera and ran down the matches for Multiverse of Matches.

-Gia Miller interviewed the Motor City Machine Guns. Alex Shelley said that Jay White should know what the Guns bring to the table. He said they would win the rematch tonight. Chris Sabin talked about his match against Jay White tomorrow. He said they were the best tag team that ever lived. [c]

-Gia Miller interviewed Deonna Purrazzo. Deonna talked about the Champ Champ Challenge and said she is pushing boundaries. She said she would continue at Multiverse of Matches. She said she had tons of options to wrestle at the show but it wouldn’t matter.

-Johnny Swinger and Zicky Dice came out for the “Chump Chump Challenge”. Before the match, Swinger told everyone to get on their feet. He called Dice his protégé and said he would be the next Adrian Adonis. Swinger challenged anyone to come out. The Good Brothers came out to answer the challenge.

(2) JOHNNY SWINGER & ZICKY DICE vs. THE GOOD BROTHERS (Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson)

Doc decked Dice to start the match and gave him a fall-away slam. Doc splashed Dice in the corner. Anderson tagged in and they gave Dice the Magic Killer. Anderson pinned Dice for the win.

WINNERS: The Good Brothers in 1:00.

-The Good Brothers walked backstage and were interviewed by Gia Miller. Anderson said that match showed why they became the best tag team. Doc said they got screwed last week by Honor No More. He said they would go through seven other teams at Rebellion and he hoped Honor No More was last. Doc talked about their match against the Briscoes tomorrow at the Impact Multiverse of Matches event.

Screaming was heard off-camera. The camera turned to show PCO yelling for Jonah in the parking lot. [c]

-Jonah and PCO brawled in the parking lot. They used weapons including traffic cones and pallets. Jonah powerbombed PCO. Jonah continued to punch PCO. Jonah hit PCO with a sledgehammer. Jonah put a board over PCO and smashed it with a sledgehammer. PCO rose up and fought Jonah. PCO threw Jonah into a wall. PCO slammed a car door into Jonah. Jonah fell to the ground and PCO shoveled dirt on him.

(3) JOSH ALEXANDER vs. MADMAN FULTON (w/Ace Austin)

Before the match, they showed the footage of Moose giving Josh Alexander’s wife Jade a spear over the weekend. Fulton charged Alexander at the bell, but Alexander suplexed him. Alexander clotheslined Fulton over the top rope. They brawled on the floor. Back in the ring, Alexander went for the C-4 spike, but Fulton got out.

Alexander suplexed and powerbombed Fulton. Alexander put Fulton in an ankle lock. Fulton tapped out. Alexander wouldn’t let go of the hold. Ace got in the ring and Alexander finally let go. Ace slid out of the ring.

WINNER: Josh Alexander in 2:00.

Fulton attacked Alexander from behind. Alexander put the ankle lock on again and twisted Fulton’s ankle so his boot came off.

(D.L.’s Take: Dominant win for Alexander to give him momentum going into the Impact Rebellion PPV match against Moose.)

-Mike Bailey was shown watching the monitor backstage. Trey Miguel approached and complimented him on his win last week. Trey asked what was his relationship with Ace Austin. Trey warned Bailey that Ace wouldn’t have his back. Bailey said he always expected the unexpected. [c]

-A clip was shown of Mickie James after last week’s angle with Chelsea Green. Mickie said that Chelsea was as much of a sellout as her husband. She mentioned that her husband and Chelsea’s husband haven’t gotten along. She said that Nick Aldis would make Matt Cardona pay at Multiverse of Matches.

-Gia Miller interviewed Matt Cardona outside of his dressing room. Gia wanted to talked to Chelsea. Cardona closed the door on Gia and got Chelsea. Chelsea said that Mickie repeatedly told her not to help her. She said Mickie never gave her the shot she deserved. Cardona talked about their match at Multiverse of Matches. He called themselves the power couple of wrestling then obnoxiously said goodbye to Gia and closed the door.

(4) KNOCKOUTS BATTLE ROYAL

This match would determine a number one contender for the Knockouts Title. Tasha Steelz held the belt up high and joined the broadcast team at ringside. Everyone brawled at the bell. Decay double teamed Alisha Edwards. Havok threw out Alisha, who was the first one out. Wrestlers ganged up to throw Havok out.

Jessie McKay eliminated Tenille Dashwood. Kaleb caught Jessie McKay to prevent her from being eliminated. Madison Rayne was thrown out. Savannah Evans gave Jessie a Samoan Drop, then threw her out. Evans and Jordynne Grace fought. Evans booted Grace out, then Gisele and Frost threw out Evans. Frost, Shaw, and Rosemary fought.

The wrestlers exchanged kicks. Rosemary threw out Shaw and Frost out at the same time to win. Tasha and Rosemary exchanged words after the match.

WINNER: Rosemary in 7:00.

(D.L.’s Take: Short but entertaining as far as battle royals go. They kept it moving. Tasha was entertaining on commentary. Tasha vs. Rosemary should be a good feud.)

-Footage from BTI of Black Taurus beating Deaner.

-Violent By Design promo. Eric Young said that the Good Brothers witnessed a symphony of violence. He imagined what the world would say when they run over seven teams at Rebellion. He talked about power and control. Eric talked about Deaner’s loss and said the sickness still exists. He said they would take back their power and control. [c]

-Brian Myers was shown at a commentary table next to Hannifan and Rehwoldt.

(5) BHUPINDER GUJJAR vs. AIDEN PRINCE

Gujjar knocked Prince out of the ring. Prince returned, but Gujjar threw him out again. Prince was going to walk up the ramp, but Gujjar stopped him and punched him. Back in the ring, Prince caught Gujjar with a boot. Gujjar power slammed Prince for a two count. Gujjar stomped Prince. Gujjar gave Prince a sling blade and powerslam.

Prince suplexed Gujjar. Prince missed a 450 splash. Gujjar gave Prince the spear from the second rope for the win.

WINNER: Bhupinder Gujjar in 5:00.

-Myers was shown leaving the table. He walked up the ramp, but W. Morrissey walked out. Morrissey hit Myers and threw him into the post. Morrissey tried to powerbomb Myers, but Prince got in the way. Myers ran off. Prince pushed Morrissey. Morrissey choke slammed Prince through Myers’ table. Myers looked on.

(D.L.’s Take: Another good showcase match for Gujjar. Prince got in a decent amount of offense too though and looked good.)

-Jay White and Chris Bey were shown warming up backstage. [c]

(6) MASHA SLAMOVICH vs. ABBY JANE

Masha turned her back and Abby attacked her. Masha gave Abby a German Suplex and a kick to the head. Masha gave Abby the Snow Plow for the win.

WINNER: Masha Slamovich in 1:00.

-Hannifan and Rehwoldt were shown on camera and ran down the matches for Multiverse of Matches. They promoted the IPWF show for next week and NJPW later tonight.

-Jay White and Chris Bey walked to the ring. [c]

(7) MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) vs. BULLET CLUB (Jay White & Chris Bey)

Sabin and White started the match. Sabin gave White a crossbody block, then chopped him. White chopped Sabin hard. The Guns double teamed White. Bey got in the ring and got double teamed by the Guns and thrown out. Shelley kept White in their corner. The Guns double teamed White. Sabin put White in a chin lock and an abdominal stretch.

Bey kicked Sabin and let White get the advantage. White knocked Shelley off the apron. Bey splashed Sabin, then gloated on the outside. [c]

White and Bey had the advantage over Sabin after the commercial. Bey dropped an elbow on Sabin. White and Bey tagged in and out to keep the advantage on Sabin. Shelley tagged in and gave Bullet Club a flatlined/DDT combo. Shelley put Bey in the Border City Stretch. White raked Shelley’s eyes to break the hold.

The Guns double teamed Bey. White pulled Sabin out of the ring. Bey kicked Shelley in the head. Bey punched Shelley. Bey stood on Shelley’s back. White choked Shelley over the middle rope. Shelley fought out of the corner. Bey accidentally dove onto White on the outside. Sabin kicked Bey, then gave White a moonsault from the apron to the floor.

Fans chanted “This Is Awesome”. Sabin gave Bey a dropkick from the top rope. Sabin had control of the match over Bullet Club. The Guns gave Bey Thunder Express for a two count. Fans chanted “Too Sweet”. White knocked Shelley out of the ring, then threw out Sabin. Bey did a dive over the top rope onto the Guns.

White suplexed Sabin and Bey splashed Sabin. Shelley broke up the pin attempt. White argued with the referee that it was a three count. Sabin had Bey pinned but White was arguing with the referee. Bey rolled up Sabin for a two count. Sabin leg whipped White. Bey kicked Sabin in the head. The Guns double teamed Bey.

Shelley dove on Bey and got a two count. White and Shelley went at tit. The Guns double teamed White. Sabin dropkicked White in the face. The Guns tried to give Bey Made in Detroit, but White knocked Shelley off the ropes. White gave Sabin a suplex. Bey gave Sabin a cutter off the ropes for the pin.

WINNERS: Bullet Club in 18:00.

(D.L.’s Take: The excellent match that you would have expected. It really picked up at the end.)

FINAL THOUGHTS: A well-rounded episode Impact, capped by a great main event. They did an effective job of making Multiverse of Matches seem like a big deal.
