Ring of Honor will crown an interim ROH women’s world champion at Supercard of Honor.

On Twitter Monday afternoon, Tony Khan revealed that Willow Nightengale would square off against Mercedes Martinez for the interim title. The winner of that title would go on to face current ROH Women’s World Champion, Deonna Purrazzo at an undisclosed date and time. Purrazzo will be working the Impact Wrestling PPV event that is scheduled for the same night.

At the beginning of March, Tony Khan announced on AEW Dynamite that he purchased Ring of Honor from Sinclair Broadcast Group. Supercard of Honor is the first show under his leadership as owner and will serve as head booker of the company. Supercard of Honor is the first ROH since the company took a self-imposed hiatus at the end of 2021.

The company’s last event was the 2021 Final Battle PPV. Jonathan Gresham defeated Jay Lethal on that show to win the ROH World Championship. Gresham was originally scheduled to wrestled Bandido for the title, but Bandido could not compete due to testing positive for COVID-19. The Supercard of Honor main event be the home of that match. Bandido and Gresham will collide with the winner becoming Undisputed World Champion.

Other matches on the card include The Briscoes vs. FTR, Jay Lethal vs. Lee Moriarty, Josh Woods vs. Wheeler Yuta for the ROH Pure Championship, and more.

ROH Supercard of Honor will air on Fite TV on Friday April 1 from Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas.
