SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
Former WWE Champion, Bobby Lashley, will make his return on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.
PWInsider is reporting that after nearly two months since last appearing, Lashley would return to the company in Pittsburgh on Monday night. Lashley has been out with a shoulder injury that was suffered in his Royal Rumble match with Brock Lesnar. Lashley defeated Lesnar to win the WWE Championship in that first-ever match after Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman interfered.
Lashley appeared at the Elimination Chamber to defend his WWE Championship, but taken out in his chamber before really getting into the match. Lashley was then removed from the match due to entering concussion health protocol because of the attack. Lashley has not been seen on WWE television since.
Bobby Lashley has been a centerpiece act on Monday Night Raw since the start of the pandemic. Lashley and MVP formed the Hurt Business with Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. With that group behind him, Lashley would win the WWE United States Championship before being crowned WWE Champion. Last year at WrestleMania, Lashley defeated Drew McIntyre in the opening match – the first with fans since March the year prior.
The report does not indicate specifically what Lashley will be doing on the show. Because of his injury, he does not have a set WrestleMania match, though rumors of a match with Omos have circulated. WrestleMania will air on Peacock on Saturday April 2 and Sunday April 3.
