Ring of Honor World Champion, Jonathan Gresham, will reportedly be signing a contract with AEW.

Fightful Select is reporting that Gresham has been talking with AEW President Tony Khan and the plan is for him to sign on with both AEW and ROH. Khan purchased Ring of Honor from Sinclair Broadcasting earlier this month. The report indicates that Gresham’s agreement will include specific AEW dates.

Gresham defeated Jay Lethal at ROH Final Battle in December to win the ROH World Championship. Gresham was originally scheduled to face Bandido on that show, but Bandido was removed from the card due to a positive COVID-19 test. Both men will collide at ROH Supercard of Honor on April 1 in a winner take all, ROH World Championship Unification Match. Supercard is the first ROH PPV since the company went on a self-imposed hiatus at the end of 2021 and the first show with Tony Khan as head booker for the company.

Gresham appeared on Impact Wrestling this week and saved Rocky Romero from and attack by Eddie Edwards. Impact announced on Friday morning that Gresham would face Edwards at the Rebellion PPV event on April 23. The Fightful report indicates that this Impact Wrestling run will be brief for Gresham and that he is likely to sign with AEW in the next few weeks.

Jonathan Gresham owns the Terminus wrestling promotion, which he founded in 2022. The company has had two shows and featured multiple top stars from various promotions including Shane Strickland, Josh Alexander, Jay Lethal, Serena Deeb, Santana, Daniel Garcia, Davey Richards, and more.
