Khan recently finalized a deal to purchase Ring of Honor from Sinclair Broadcast Group. Khan revealed the news on AEW Dynamite, but then confirmed last week that he would be the booker for the Supercard of Honor show that was scheduled by Sinclair before Khan acquired the company. The company went into a self-imposed hiatus at the end of 2021. The last show under the company banner at that time was the Final Battle PPV in December. Supercard of Honor is the first event for the company since the hiatus began.
Announced matches for Supercard of Honor at this time include a first-time ever dream tag team match between FTR and The Briscoes. The main event will be Jonathan Gresham vs. Bandido for the Undisputed ROH World Championship. Gresham won the ROH World Championship at Final Battle when he defeated Jay Lethal. Gresham was originally slated to face Bandido on the show, but Bandido was removed from the card due to testing positive for COVID-19.
Supercard of Honor will air live on Fite TV on Friday April 1. The show will go head to head with AEW Rampage, but Khan said he got WarnerMedia’s approval to run the show at the same time.
