SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
NXT Champion, Bron Breakker, is on the fast track to the WWE main roster.
In a report by The Wrestling Observer, Dave Meltzer is reporting that there is chatter on bringing Breakker to main roster WWE sooner rather than later. Breakker made his main roster debut on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw as part of a tag team match with Tommaso Ciampa against Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode. Breakker won the match, which existed primarily to hype this week’s NXT 2.0’s main event triple threat NXT Championship match between Breakker, Ciampa, and Ziggler. Ziggler won the NXT Championship in that match after pinning Ciampa.
The report indicates that Breakker is set to face Ziggler for the championship at NXT Stand and Deliver over WrestleMania weekend. Stand and Deliver will air on Peacock on April 2 at a special start time of 12 pm CST in order to not conflict with night one of WrestleMania. This is the first NXT event outside of Florida since the pandemic began in 2020.
Bron Breakker made his NXT debut in conjunction with the brand’s pivot to NXT 2.0. on September 14 of last year. He defeated LA Knight in his first match at became NXT Champion at New Year’s Evil on January 4 of this year, pinning Tommaso Ciampa. As champion, Breakker defeated Santos Escobar in his only successful title defense.
Matches of NXT Stand and Deliver have not been officially announced at this time.
