SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
SHOW SUMMARY: In this edition of the Wade Keller Hotline, after some news items (WWE crew back from Saudi Arabia and Smackdown viewership rebounds), we flashback to two Wade Keller Hotlines from ten years ago this week in early-November 2009:
11/2 Wade Keller Hotline – Raw: Juvenile humor, obvious jokes, insider references Raw’s audience doesn’t relate to, with the pushes of Sheamus and Kofi providing a bright side (28 min.): This installment of the Wade Keller Hotline features a rundown of this week’s Raw including a show filled with crazy zany drunk-dad-at-the-wedding DX humor, stunted-emotion-juvenile Santino humor, obvious jokes, and pointless insider references that Raw’s target audience doesn’t relate to (“intellectual property violations” doesn’t come up very often on a normal day for Raw viewers in their lives). But there were some bright spots including the valiant killer heel push of Sheamus and the admirable Kofi Kingston push that he’s living up to so far.
11/4 Wade Keller Hotline – The News: Latest on Hogan/Bischoff-TNA, plus ECW’s dropping ratings, Ross comments on WWE from a distance (19 min.): This installment of the Wade Keller Hotline features a look at the latest news including the dropping ECW ratings, Jim Ross’s comments on watching WWE TV from a distance, and the latest on the Hulk Hogan/Eric Bischoff-TNA situation, where there remain more questions than answers.
