NXT LIVE EVENT REPORT
OCTOBER 19, 2019
VANCOUVER, B.C.
REPORT BY DOUG SAILER, PWTORCH CORRESPONDENT

(1) Breezdango defeated The Outliers. Fun comedy match. Robert Strauss got kicked out half-way through the match because of interference.

(2) Dominik Dijakovic defeated Bronson Reed.

(3) Tegan Nox & Dakota Kai defeated Vanessa Boone & Aliyah. Good spot where Nox was tied upside down in the ropes with Aliyah and Boone taking turns kicking her in the back. After the victory, Nox held up a fan’s sign saying “Good New Knees Club.”

(4) Kassius Ohno defeated Isaiah “Swerve” Scott. After the match, Ohno took the mic and did a long promo that nobody could hear because the mic wasn’t working. All I heard him say was “I know assholes when I see them.” That’s when Finn Balor’s music hit.

(5) Finn Balor defeated Kassius Ohno.

(6) Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly defeated The Street Profits. Kyle O’ Reilly was really over because he is from The Vancouver area.

Intermission Damian

(7) Damien Priest defeated Pete Dunn. Good match. Priest is going to be a big star.

(8) Shayna Baszler defeated Candice LeRae. Best match of the night. The match had a very good pace. LaRae took some really good bumps.

(9) Rodrick Strong defeated Matt Riddle. Good match, but was predictable that Fish and O’Reilly would interfere at the end. After the match, all three ganged up on Riddle. The Street Profits came in for the save.

After the match, Matt Riddle then took the mic and said it was time to address the elephant in the room. At that point someone yelled out “420!” It stopped Riddle and he gave a smile and waved his hands as if to say, “You shouldn’t say that.” At that point, Shawn Michaels and Norman Smiley came out to a “Holy shit” chant. The rest of the wrestlers came out to congratulate the Street Profits on making the “main roster” and the look on Finn’s face was priceless.

FINAL NOTES: Probably close to 5,000 in attendance. It was an entertaining show. We all enjoyed it.
