SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
All Elite Wrestling announced today that Cody will challenge Chris Jericho at Full Gear on Nov. 9 in Baltimore, Md., the first TNT-era PPV for AEW and the first-ever PPV defense (and perhaps the first-ever defense anywhere) of the AEW World Title.
Cody, an executive vice president of AEW, defeated Shawn Spears last weekend at the All Out PPV event.
Tickets went on sale today for Full Gear, thus the timing of the announcement. AEW had previously announced Jon Moxley vs. Kenny Omega, which was originally scheduled for All Out, but Moxley couldn’t appear due to a medical issue.
We haven’t given up on this one, huh? https://t.co/B2DXMtc7O3

It doesn’t appear Full Gear will sellout today, but it could. The seating chart shows roughly two-thirds of the sections sold out, but tickets available in one-third of the sections, including several first row $3,000 seats. However, all but 16 seats are sold out on the floor, which is the highest priced tickets, and mostly seats in the upper corners of the upper desk are otherwise available with few scattered elsewhere. It is definitely headed for a sellout.
AEW has also begun a series of YouTube videos titled “The Road to AEW on TNT.” The first episode, hosted by Tony Schiavone, is available HERE.
