KANAZAWA, JAPAN AT KANAZAWA WORKERS PLAZA
AIRED ON STARDOM WORLD
REPORT BY HARLEY R. PAGEOT, PWTORCH CONTRIBUTOR
Rina said she’d get the three-count on the chibi. Ruaka pointed out that she and Rina are both part of TCS and have good teamwork. Iida acknowledged she was at a two on one disadvantage but she’d try her best.
(1) SAYA IIDA vs. RUAKA vs. RINA
The TCS duo shook hands but ignored Iida. The match unraveled as a glorified handicap match. In the end Iida caught Rina with the Iidabashi while Ruaka was at ringside. Rina kicked out at two and a half but the referee counted three anyway.
WINNER: Saya Iida in 3:29.
-Hina pointed out that they won their last match as a duo and wanted to win again. Kid said she wanted to stay on a roll ahead of her forthcoming high speed title match.
(2) STARS: SAKID (Saki Kashima & Starlight Kid) vs. QUEEN’S QUEST (Leo Onozaki & Hina)
Kid pinned Hina following a swinging neckbreaker and second rope moonsault.
WINNERS: Stars in 6:52.
-Tora was eating a slushee with a chopstick(?). Hayter couldn’t remember the name of the city they were in. Lucas said Oedo Tai aren’t kawaii.
(3) TOKYO CYBER SQUAD (Goddess Of Stardom Champion Konami & Zoe Lucas) vs. OEDO TAI (Natsuko Tora & Jamie Hayter)
Hayter pinned Lucas following a suplex onto her knee.
WINNERS: Oedo Tai in 8:28.
(4) TOKYO CYBER SQUAD (Goddess Of Stardom Champion Jungle Kyona, High Speed Champion Death Yama-san, Hana Kimura, & Bobbi Tyler) vs. OEDO TAI (Hazuki & Artist Of Stardom Champions Kagetsu, Andras Miyagi, & Natsu Sumire)
Hazuki pinned Tyler with the Hazukistral.
WINNERS: Oedo Tai in 13:36.
-Kimura accosted the referee and pulled at his hair while Kagetsu did celebratory jumping jacks and Hayter and Sumire danced.
-The Stars trio were dying due to the lack of air conditioning in the venue. (At other points during the show wrestlers could be seen running up to large floor fans at ringside the second their match was over.) Nakano thought it was so hot because they were the burning heart of Stars.
(5) QUEEN’S QUEST (World Of Stardom Champion Bea Priestley, Future Of Stardom/SWA World Champion Utami Hayashishita, & Momo Watanabe) vs. STARS (World Of Stardom Champion Arisa Hoshiki, Mayu Iwatani, & Tam Nakano)
Priestley took out Nakano with a high knee at 10:20. Nakano and Hoshiki worked over Priestley but the rest of QQ broke up the pin attempt. Everyone and their non-match stable mates wound up at ringside to catch a high crossbody from Nakano. Watanabe and Priestley with running penalty kicks along the apron to Nakano on the floor. They triple-teamed her in the ring but she kicked out. Queen’s Landing from Priestley to Nakano for the pin.
WINNERS: Queen’s Quest in 12:25.
(Pageot’s Perspective: This may have been the most skippable “house show” Stardom’s run all year.)
