SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
-The latest episode of Being the Elite showed footage of The Young Bucks being defeated by The Lucha Bros in AAA in the main event of AAA’s Verando de Escandalo event in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico yesterday. Pentagon Jr. pinned Matt Jackson after a double stomp/package piledriver combination that Rey Fenix assisted on.
After the match, Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix were interviewed backstage and they announced that Laredo Kid would replace PAC in their Six Man Tag match at Fyter Fest where they’re set to take on Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks on June 29 in Dayton Beach, Fla. The show will air for free in the U.S. on B/R Live and stream worldwide for free outside of the U.S. on Fite.tv.
-Christopher Daniels was shown on Being the Elite talking to his pug about whether or not he should wrestle CIMA at Fyter Fest. CIMA challenged Daniels to a match at Fyter Fest recently on Being the Elite. The dog didn’t say anything, but ultimately convinced Daniels to take the match.
Radican’s Analysis: This should be a very good match. I would expect CIMA to win given that Daniels is concentrating on tagging with S.C.U. right now and CIMA is set to face Kenny Omega at Fight for the Fallen next month.
-The updated lineup for Fyter Fest is as follows: The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) & Kenny Omega vs. The Lucha Bros. (Pentagon Jr. & Rey Fenix) & Laredo Kid, Jon Moxley vs. Joey Janela, Cody Rhodes vs. Darby Allin, Hangman Page vs. MJF vs. Jimmy Havoc vs. Jungle Boy, Nyla Rose vs. Riho vs. Yuka Sakazaki, Christopher Daniels vs. CIMA, and CEO organizer Alex Jebailey vs. AEW’s Michael Nakazawa in a hardcore match that will air on the pre-show.
