SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
-Former WWE wrestler Dean Ambrose changed his twitter handle to Jon Moxley, which was his name on the independent scene before he signed with WWE. Moxley tweeted a video out of him breaking out of a prison. There was some symbolism in the video that indicated Moxley might appear at AEW’s Double or Nothing, as a pair of dice were shown with a two and a five facing up.
PWTorch sources indicate that Moxley and AEW have spoken, but there is no agreement in place with him yet and no contract has been signed. You can see the video announcing the return of Jon Moxley below:

-It was originally believed that AEW was going to allow their talent to work independent dates regularly earlier this year, but according to PWTorch sources that has changed. Joey Janela recently announced he would be finishing up on the indies by the fall when AEW is expected to begin airing weekly. Janela announced he would still be allowed to run Joey Janela’s Spring Break events with GCW during WrestleMania weekend each year. Something changed, as Janela had announced on Beyond Wrestling’s Uncharted Territory weekly series that he wasn’t going anywhere for the next three years a few weeks ago.
PWTorch sources indicate that only AEW talent needing experience in the ring would be working the independent scene once the company launches on TV weekly. Sources indicated that experienced talent like someone with the same amount of experience or more like Janela, would require special permission from AEW president Tony Khan to do an independent date. All independent dates will require AEW’s approval for talent to appear.
