This is one of the best house shows that I have attended in quite a while!
(1) Finn Balor defeated Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre in a Triple Threat match when he pinned Ziggler. After the match, Drew was on the mic and Ziggler super-kicked him. After Drew was down, Balor jumped off of the top rope and stomped him. Balor was over and McIntyre got lots of heat.
(2) Natalya & Ember Moon & Bayley & Sasha defeated Riott Squad & Mickie James. We saw a very cool, four-way “locked” suplex. Good action!
(3) Apollo Crews beat Baron Corbin. Corbin came out with lots of boos and received a “You Got Fired” chant. He made the ref count out his scheduled opponent, Braun Strowman, who did not attend. Then Crews came out and faced Corbin with a good match. Apollo won and was very athletic.
(3) Ronda Rousey tapped out Nia Jax with an armbar. Tamina circled the ring. Rousey received a huge pop.
Good match.
Intermission
(4) Bobby Roode & Chad Gable defeated The Revival. When B-Team came out, they were immediately attacked by The Revival. They were helped backstage. Roode and Gable then came out and had a very good, but a little long, match. Roode made the pin to win.
(5) Bobby Lashley (w/Lio Rush) beat Elias. Elias first came out and played Bon Jovi’s “Dead or Alive.” Lashley and Rush interrupted and then had a match with Elias. Elias was over with the crowd and Lashley retained the belt. Lashley makes a good heel and Rush ads a lot to the entire dynamic!
(6) Seth Rollins defeated Dean Ambrose in a lumberjack match. Ambrose came out and started singing, “Abilene, Abilene… dirtiest town I’ve ever seen” and received some good, cheap heat! Rollins came out to a huge pop. All of the lumberjacks eventually were involved.
FINAL THOUGHTS: Good show that lasted about 2.75 hours. Well worth the 2.5 hour drive to get there!
