•ROH in the Media
- ROH The Pinnacle episode 5 debuted this week. This week’s focus was on Dalton Castle’s ROH World Championship run. This is a great 9 minute video to not only get you hyped for Dalton’s Clash with jay Lethal on Sunday. But, it helps give some much needed depth to the characters in ROH. Whoever is making these videos should be promoted to help with both the television and live event product.

•Closing Commentary
This week we have our first live event with a lot of great new talent within ROH. The card itself could be better, but that is the case with almost every wrestling show.
Today I want to talk about the lack of buzz for the G1 Supercard show at MSG In April. ROH, with the help of New Japan, sold out f’ing Madison Square Garden. They forced NXT to move to Friday night. That is a big deal. But, I feel like fans and ROH have done little to talk about and hype that show.
This time of year in WWE we start guessing, and people start reporting what the main event of Wrestlemania will be. In New Japan, the winner of the G1, in July, sets up the main event of their biggest show, in January.
What I am trying to say is that wrestling fans love a long build to a huge match. ROH does not always have a huge event like G1 Supercard. But, they do this year. I just don’t know what they are doing in the way of booking. At this rate, my guess is that Jay Lethal and Matt Taven will have a match to unify the ROH title.
That can’t be how this goes, right? I am not trying to hate on Taven, or Lethal. But that match should main event an Honor Club event; not a sold out show at MSG during Wrestlemania weekend.
My only ask is that ROH does something in order to build a match that is worthy of an event like the G1 Supercard.
