SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
If you’ve got an extra $15,000 lying around, then Topps has just the product for you.
On Monday, Topps released details of Topps WWE Transcendent Collection, a super high end product scheduled for a February 13 release. Only 50 total boxes will be sold, with all cards serial numbered to 25 or less. The contents of each box are pretty stunning:
- One complete set of 50 signed trading cards (all on-card signatures)
- One guaranteed parallel card serial numbered 1/1
- One autographed kiss card
- One Tribute Cut Signature or Dual Tribute Cut Signature
- One sketch card hand drawn by Rob Schamberger
- One autographed replica WWE title belt
A full checklist is not yet available, but Topps provided images and details of some pretty amazing cards. Each box will contain a Vince McMahon autograph, the first time that his signature has ever been included in a wrestling product. In addition, the set will also include the first certified autograph of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin in a Topps product. The oversized Tribute Cut Signature cards include one of Andre the Giant and a dual of Randy Savage and Sherri Martel.
Topps is also promising a “VIP experience invitation” in each box: a ticket to WrestleMania 35, entrance to a private event before the show, wrestler meet-and-greets, and more.
