Smackdown Rating: College Basketball knocks WWE down a notch, key metrics, comparison to other top cable shows

Last night’s WWE Smackdown on USA Network drew a 1.52 rating, down from last week’s 1.63 rating and above the 1.51 from two weeks ago, among live and same-night-DVR viewers. The rolling ten-week average is 1.57. Viewership was 2.150 million, down from 2.312 million last week.

The rating this week is down from the year-ago rating of 1.86 and the two-years-ago rating was 1.72.

The 2018 average is 1.67, down from 1.75 one year ago this week.

Smackdown took a hit from ESPN’s Duke vs. Auburn college basketball game, which topped the cable ratings among 18-49 year old viewers with a 0.8 rating according to TVByTheNumbers. In total viewers, it edged Smackdown by 17,000 viewers. Smackdown did finish no. 2 overall among the 18-49 demographic.

“Curse of Oak Island” on History Channel was the most viewed show with 2.914 million viewers followed by “The Rachel Maddow Show” on MSNBC with 2.851 million viewers.
