HITS

Undisputed Era/War Raiders/Ricochet/Pete Dunne Brawl:Great segment as this replaced the match between Adam Cole & Bobby Fish vs. The War Raiders. What was so brilliant was that you never saw it coming. It was business as usual for the UE as they did their group segment of running down their foes to where the War Raiders came out of nowhere to attack them, taking a page out of their book. Even though the War Raiders were more dominant, they could not withstand the numbers game as the UE gained the upper hand until Ricochet came to the aid of the War Raiders. The numbers took avail again as the UE showed cunningness in their beat down of the faces. As the exchange between the two groups went back and forward and into the arena, the Bruiserweight Pete Dunne made the save for the baby faces sending the UE up the entrance ramp. This was a good set up for William Regal as he came out to announce that the two groups will participate in Takeover: War Games in the War Games event as it has been brewing for weeks and ties together a couple of different angles.

The Street Profits vs. The Mighty:This was a decent match and probably the best match the Mighty have had in a while. They looked cohesive and seems like their characters and in-ring work are coming together. The Street Profits were good as well as Montez Ford’s athletic abilities were on full display exemplifying why he has what it takes to be a future star. Angelo Dawkins also fared well as he played more of enforcer/muscle role. Great mid card tag match that keeps the NXT tag team division somewhat fresh as both new and reemerging teams are starting to present themselves.

MISSES

None.

FINAL THOUGHTS…

Great week. One of the most exciting events will soon take place as the War Games teams have been established and the tying in of many different angles. This was the main highlight of the show. We also saw Aleister Black make an appearance after Candice LaRae confronted Nikki Cross after her match with Mercedes Martinez, wearing all black. As she had exchange with Black, it is intriguing to see where this is all leading. This is in contrast to the last couple of weeks as it seems like this angle was dragging. Matt Riddle made his debut in mediocre fashion and Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch continue their road back up the tag team ranks. All in all, very good week as Takeover: War Games approaches.
