Monday night’s episode of Raw (9/3) drew a 1.95 rating, down from the 2.02 last week. It’s the lowest rating since July 23, although virtually tied with the Aug. 13 rating of 1.96.

The rating was part of a general downward trend in ratings compared to prior years. Last year, Raw drew a 2.09 rating and two years ago Raw drew a 2.11 rating.

The show opened with 2.945 million viewers, dropped slightly to 2.933 million viewers in the second hour, and then dropped again to 2.740 million. The first-to-third hour drop-off was 205,000, below the 2018 average drop-off of 311,000.

The 2018 average is 2.09 and the ten-week rolling average headed into this week was 1.94.

Raw went up against college football on ESPN, which drew 5.576 million viewers and topped the evening in cable viewership and key demo ratings among 18-49 year olds. The 1.9 rating in the key adult demo nearly doubled Raw’s 1.0 rating for its first and best hour. Raw’s three hours finished nos. 3, 5, and 6. VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” was wedged in there at no. 4, with ESPN’s college football holding the top two spots. Other than college football on ESPN, Raw’s three hours had the most viewership of any other show on cable on Monday night. (Source: TVByTheNumbers)
