SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Last night’s episode of WWE Raw on USA Network drew a 1.96 rating, a little below last week’s rating of 2.00 and above the rating two weeks ago of 1.92 and tied with the rating three weeks ago. In other words, the rating was solid, but not remarkable.

Hourly ratings were also typical. The third hour drew 2.728 million viewers, above the prior eight weeks average of 2.650 million viewers, but not by a lot. The dropoff from the first hour to the third hour was 102,000, which was more than last week’s 60,000, but below the last three months average of 193,000.

Raw’s three hours finished no. 2, 3, 4 and in the overall cable ratings on Monday among 18-49 year olds, a coveted demographic among advertisers, drawing 0.9 each hour. Only VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” finished higher with a 1.0 rating, although Raw drew 50 percent more viewers overall. In fact, Raw’s first three hours finished no. 1, 2, and 3 in overall viewership, with the third hour drawing 2.728 million, barely edging “Hannity” on Fox News which drew 2.727 million. It’s a rare occurrence, if ever, that all three hours of Raw are all above any other show on cable in total viewership.
