SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
-The named participants in the Mae Young Classic have reached 15: Deonna Purrazzo, Jessica Elaban, Killer Kelly, Kavita Devi, Nicole Matthews, Mercedes Martinez, Reina Gonzalez, Mia Yim, Crystal, Kaitlyn, Rhea Ripley, Io Shirai, Jinny, Kacy Catanzaro, Tegan Nox. The tournament will be taped on August 8-9 in Winter Park, Florida at Full Sail University and will air on WWE Network.
-Speaking of Mae Young Classic, Nicole Matthews will be wrestling this Saturday at an ECCW event in Vancouver, B.C. at the Commodore Ballroom. They have sold the building out (1,000 fans) for the 10th consecutive time in the last five years. Announced matches: Matt Riddle faces Artemis Spencer, Darby Allin fights in a No Rules match for the ECCW Canadian Title vs. Eddie Osbourne, and a seven-way ladder match. Rey Horus is also announced.
-WWE has announced that “Raw Commissioner” Stephanie McMahon will make a historic announcement on Raw on Monday. Considering “Constable” Corbin said he was going to tattle to Stephanie about Angle’s decisions on Raw this week, this is very possibly related to Angle or the Universal Title match or Ronda Rousey’s suspension and title shot at Summerslam (Stephanie appointing herself special referee for the Rousey match against Alexa Bliss?).
BREAKING: Commissioner @StephMcMahon will appear LIVE this Monday on #RAW to deliver a historic announcement!
