Kid Rock entering WWE Hall of Fame this year, HBO releases second Andre the Giant trailer, Impact viewership increase holds up

-WWE announced Kid Rock will be entered into the celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame this year. Billboard was the first to report the news. Kid Rock is current a top ten trend on Twitter as a result.

-Former WWE Creative Team member and current NWA V.P. chimed in on Twitter regarding Kid Rock, suggesting that Kevin Dunn will induct him.

-Impact Wrestling seems to be getting a little extra traction in viewership lately with five of the last seven weeks drawing more than 300,000 viewers. Last year, only two shows during the same time period drew more than 300,000 viewers. Last Thursday’s show drew 325,000 viewers, down from the 365,000 the week before, but the second highest of the year and the second highest viewership since last July. The monthly average is 345,000, up from the monthly average last year through two weeks of March of 292,000. The ten-week rolling average is 304,100 compared to 288,600 last year at this time.

-HBO sent along a note to PWTorch that it has released a second trailer for the new Andre the Giant documentary premiering on Apr. 10 at 10 p.m. ET. This clip includes Hollywood actors and wrestlers remembering Andre. Soundbites include Hulk Hogan, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Billy Crystal, Ric Flair, Vince McMahon, Robin Wright, and Jim Ross.
