SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
Jeff Hardy blew a 0.25 in a breathalyzer test – three times the legal limit – after crashing his 2016 Cadillac into a guard rail on Saturday in Concord, N.C., according to TMZ’s report. He is due back in court next month.
Hardy, now 40 years old, has attempted to rebuild his reputation in recent years after a stretch of unreliability and drug issues. This is a big setback for Jeff. Fortunately nobody else was hurt in the crash.
This could derail certain elements of the planned “Hardy Compound” segments with Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt. It could also delete plans for a Hardy Boyz reunion once Jeff was cleared from his recent time off to recover from surgery for a torn rotator cuff.
WWE released the statement to TMZ: “Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions. We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials.”
