Prescott Valley Event Center is aproximately a 6,000 seater and was near capacity.
(1) Matt Hardy pinned Bray Wyatt with a Twist of Fate. Effective opener with a lot of stalling and playing to the crowd.
(2) Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows & Apollo Crews & Titus O’Neil & Goldust (w/ Dana Brooke) defeated Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder & Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel & Curt Hawkins. Crews pinned Hawkins after a sitout powerbomb. The biggest crowd pleasing spot was all five heels taking atomic drops simultaneously.
(3) Akira Tozawa pinned Tony Nese after a diving senton. Flat reaction for the intros, but Tozawa worked up a decent reaction from the crowd by the end.
(4) Asuka & Mickie James over Mandy Rose & Sonya DeVille (w/ Paige). Rose tapped to the Asuka Lock. Asuka was very over. Paige and Mickie also got a lot of love from the crowd.
(5) Braun Strowman over Elias with a running powerslam. Before the match Elias did his usual shtick to a mixed response of cheers and boos. Fairly short, to the point match with the crowd being into both wrestlers.
(6) Alexa Bliss pinned Sasha Banks with a slingshot roll up and a handfull of trunks. There were a lot of vocal young girls in the audience tonight (including my 11 year old), who were very into both women’s matches.
(7) Finn Balor & Seth Rollins over Sheamus & Cesaro by DQ when Sheamus jabbed Balor in the ribs with a chair. The Bar got a strong positive reaction at intro, but were able to turn the crowd quickly. The audience was very hot for all of the Balor and Rollins tag ins. Easily the best match of the night.
(8) Roman Reigns pinned John Cena after a spear. Solid main event match with a very engaged, mostly pro-Cena crowd. After the match Cena raised Roman’s arm and left him to pose and work the crowd alone.
FINAL THOUGHTS: Solid house show with an engaged audience. This was the first live event for several people in my vicinity and they all seemed to have a good time. My 11-year-old daughter has been a fan for a little over a year, and while we’ve been to TV tapings together, this was her first house show. She really enjoyed the show being all in ring action without all of the angles and starts and stops of a TV taping.
