Miz explains why he’s excited to re-enter reality TV genre, name of the show, theme, timeline and network

Miz and Maryse’s new reality TV show is called “Miz and Mrs.” The 30 minute show will air on USA Network this year, but no start date has been announced. Miz mentioned it on Raw last night.

“As the exclusive television home for WWE’s flagship programming, USA Network is excited to give this passionate fanbase even more of two of WWE’s most colorful Superstars, The Miz and Maryse,” said Heather Olander, SVP of Alternative Development and Production, in a press release. “MIZ & MRS. is an intimate, behind-the-scenes glimpse at this iconic couple as they face one of their most exciting challenges yet – becoming parents.”

Miz, a reality TV pioneer of sorts dating back to “Real World,” told Hollywood Life why he’s excited to re-enter the reality TV genre. “Back when I did Real World and The Challenges, you were literally looked at as the scum of the earth because you were on a reality show,” he said. “Nobody wanted you and nobody liked you. Nowadays, everything is reality. Everything! Whether it’s Instagram or Facebook or  Twitter, that’s all reality. Being on Total Divas and seeing Total Bellas and all the success…I mean, reality is where it is at! It gives you a whole new and different fan base and that is what I am all about. I am all about getting the biggest fanbase I possibly can for when I end up doing those huge movies!”

The show is going to be built around preparing for parenthood. Miz and Maryse. who married each other in 2014, announced last September that they are expecting their first child together.
