THE GIANT, THE ACE, THE APE, AND THE END”

When Andrade Cien Almas upset the big Scot Drew McIntyre at Takeover Houston for the NXT Championship, he set in motion a series of events that led us to this evening. In that bout, McIntyre injured his arm and any chance of a rematch when out the window at least for the next several months. General Manager William Regal quickly formulated a backup plan: a series of qualifiers leading up to a Fatal-Four way #1 contender’s match.

The first man to advance, the muscle of the unhinged group SANITY, was Killian Dain. He made quick work of the U.K. division’s Trent Seven winning with his signature crossbody that has left men much bigger than Seven flat on their backs. The next qualifier saw Kassius Ohno go up against the surprise entrant of Johnny Gargano, who caught Ohno in a vicious modified crossface submission that made the knockout king tap out. In the spirit of friendly competition both men shared a handshake afterwards.

Lars Sullivan got much more out of Roderick Strong then he was expecting, but was still able to triumph over the messiah of the backbreaker thanks to his brute strength and ferocious intensity. (Seriously kudos to Roddy. If you haven’t watched this match you should it’s extraordinarily competitive.) The biggest surprise was who the final spot went to considering the man he beat to get there. The voodoo man Aleister Black took out the leader of the Undisputed Adam Cole. Cole was riding a wave of momentum after scoring the winning pinfall in the first ever WarGames matchup for NXT, but wasn’t able to overcome Black’s hard-striking offense including his deadly Black Mass finisher. Will this be the end of Black and Cole’s storyline? Can Johnny Wrestling finally secure a big win for his solo career? Can anyone stop Lars Sullivan or Killian Dain? Find out all of that and more in what should be a VERY interesting/exciting main event.

A FIGHT ON THE MOON”

The Fatal Four-Way isn’t the only action that will grace us for the episode. New women’s champion Ember Moon will defend the gold for the first time ever against Sonya Deville. Sonya may have debuted on the main roster with her new bestie Paige as apart of the Absolution Faction, but she will more than likely be bringing her A-game for the yellow brand. Keep an eye out for Nikki Cross, who has already helped young Ember in her beef with the Dynamic Duo, probably in an effort to meet with Ember for the championship herself. Can Moon survive her 1st defense? Have faith in the ECLIPSE.

LAST SHOW OF THE YEAR”

-The Street Profits continue to keep up their popularity throughout the Full Sail community, handing out merchandise (red cups) to children and adults alike. Whether that means they are prepared to make a splash in the tag-team division is up to you.

-Speaking of tag-teams, Tino Sabatelli and Riddick Moss keep getting into trouble because of their fancy car. Their most recent admirers/haters:  the MEAT TRAIN known as Heavy Machinery.

-The NXT women’s division is also about to get an upgrade in the form of Shayna Baszler. The former MMA sensation reached the finals of the Mae Young Classic, but came up just short to the sensational Kairi Sane. (Who we haven’t seen on T.V. for a few weeks now. ☹) Will Shayna be coming for Ember, or try to finish off Sane once and for all?

Big main event and Ember’s first title defense sound super appealing to me. You?
