SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
WWE published a six minute video on their YouTube Channel of Jinder Mahal vs. Triple H in New Delhi, India at India Gandhi Indoor Stadium. The video shows Mahal coming out to some boos after an introduction by the Singh Brothers, who said he’d soon become a two-time WWE Champion. Then the video shows Triple H coming out to his music to an ovation.
The video then shows Triple H clotheslining Mahal hard in the corner of the ring, but Mahal reversing him, but catching a boot when he charged, yet coming right back with a high knee. The Singh Brothers poke their fingers in Triple H’s chest, leading to Triple H beating them up to some cheers. Mahal, playing the heel, comes up behind him and whips him into the ringside stairs.
Then the video jumps to after the match when Triple H tells the crowd: “I’ve been coming here since 1996” which gets some cheers. He says it was an honor to wrestle there and to step in the ring with the Modern Day Maharaja. He says many people have criticized him and may hate him for no reason, “but you have earned my respect.” Mahal nods along and then shakes his hand and even bends over and touches his kneepad with the back of his hand. They hug and then Mahal then raises Triple H’s arm.
Triple H says again it was an honor to step into the ring in front of them. He is cheered. He seems to then speak briefly in Punjabi, and Jinder applauds. He then says there was only one thing left to do. The Singh Brothers, whom he had just beat up a few minutes earlier, have a “fun dance party” with Triple H. Mahal joins in briefly. Hunter then kicks one of the Singh Brothers and gave gives a Pedigree, which seems to get a mixed reaction.
The video highlights do not show the finish of the match, which Triple H won.
The video already has over 1.5 million view on YouTube. Watch it HERE.
They can keep pushing the jobber Mahal, he won’t get over.
