SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
WWE Raw house show results
December 2, 2012
Florence, S.C.
Report by Glenn Y. of Myrtle Beach, S.C. & Daniel Dulaney of Florence
Matt Striker was the ring announcer for the show.
(1) Brodus Clay (w/Cameron & Naomi) defeated Michael McGillicutty via big splash.
(2) Zack Ryder defeated Corey Graves via Rough Ryder.
(3) Santino Marella defeated Tensai via Cobra.
(4) Ryback & WWE tag champions Daniel Bryan & Kane defeated WWE champion C.M. Punk & Primo & Epico via DQ after the Shield interfered and attacked Ryback. Ryback was able to fend off all three Shield members. Overall, a very nice long match with Punk only getting in the ring if Bryan was beaten down. Ryback/Kane/Bryan did a great job tagging in and out, and Primo & Epico did surprisingly well on the large stage. After the DQ ending, Bryan and Kane ran off Reigns and Ambrose while Ryback shell-shocked Rollins. Punk grabbed his belt and ran for the exit.
(5) Kaitlyn & A.J. defeated Divas champion Eve Torres & Rosa Mendes after Eve walked out on Rosa in the middle of the match.
(6) U.S. champion Antonio Cesaro defeated Jack Swagger and R-Truth in a triple threat match to retain the U.S. Title. Truth hit his finisher on Swagger and went for the pin, but Cesaro pulled Truth out of the ring and jumped on Swagger for a quick fall.
(7) John Cena defeated Dolph Ziggler (w/Vickie Guerrero). Vickie was banned from ringside by the referee about halfway through the match. Overall, a very good house show match. Ziggler dominated for almost the entire match, which went about 25 minutes. Dolph was able to get to the ropes during the STF and get out of the Attitude Adjustment too many times to count before Cena finally hit the AA to send the crowd home happy.
Biggest Pops:
– Cena
– Ryback (his pop rivaled Cena’s)
– A.J.
Biggest Heat:
– Dolph & Vickie
– Punk
– Cesaro
Note from Glenn: Once again, a very entertaining house show by the WWE Raw Superstars.
Note from Daniel: Before the show…A large crowd saw Punk outside in the parking lot drinking coffee but despite the numerous shouts of “Punk,” he refused to acknowledge the crowd. Others such Cena and R-Truth waved, saluted, and hollered back at the crowd. Swagger and R-Truth left together in the same car around 20 minutes before the show but made it back in time to have their triple threat match. Overall, really impressive for a house show. Three hours of this house show is better than most three hours of Raw.
