SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
-Drew McIntyre confirmed on Twitter that he suffered an injury during his NXT Title match at NXT Takeover. The injury is to his bicep, suffered on the last move of the match. PWTorch sources say the target date for his return is by WrestleMania weekend, which would presumably be a rematch against Andrade Cien Almas or whomever is champion at that time. Now NXT has to rearrange plans since a continuation of the McIntyre vs. Almas feud was planned headed into January.
Unfortunately I did suffer an injury during my title defense at TakeOver. I’ve dealt with setbacks before. The reality is, I always come back better…There's a scary thought for whomever is NXT champion come 2018… #TickTock
