“THE SPIRIT OF A CHAMPION; THE BACKBONE OF AN EMPIRE”

Since Brooklyn NXT Champion Drew McIntyre has been entirely focused on the recent arrival of Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reily, and Bobby Fish now entitled The Undisputed. For weeks this dominant faction has been laying waste to the high rollers of the NXT roster and the big Scotsman has been their main target. (As well as the new tag-champions SANITY.) McIntyre was able to exact some revenge a couple episodes ago, and was absent from the tapings last week in order to prepare for his big title defense tonight against Roderick Strong. Roddy has been at the top of his game since his triumph over Bobby Roode, and looks to have a rejuvenated spirit to claim the title he so desperately seeks. But will that be enough? Drew outmatches Strong in both size and strength, while Roddy has the speed and athleticism to attack his opponent. The last time these two faced off the odds seemed pretty even until the Glorious One interfered. Hopefully, we’ll get a clear winner this time.

“WHERE HAVE ALL THE MAD MEN GONE?”

Eric Young may be able to parade around the locker room with his newly acquired tag-team gold, but he still hasn’t been able to gain the upper hand on Adam Cole. E.Y. suffered a loss to the former Ring of Honor champion last week and now he and his psychotic goons seem trapped in a brutal rivalry with the Undisputed that doesn’t look good for them. I just hope they don’t forget about the Authors of Pain, who seem to be lurking in the shadows, waiting for the perfect time to strike.

EVEN A FALLING STAR HAS NOTHING ON THIS ELBOW DROP”

Now that there is finally a plan for the vacant women’s championship the women of NXT will be competing at their highest level to prove that they belong at the top of the division. The Fatal-Four Way taking place at Takeover Houston already has one competitor, and that’s Mae Young Classic Winner Kairi Sane, who will be making her NXT debut! (R.I.P. to whomever she faces.) Ember Moon hasn’t been too involved recently, but with qualifying matches expected to begin soon we should expect her to return to television any day now.

Meanwhile Ruby Riot is still butting heads with the Dynamic Duo of Peyton Royce and Billie Kaye. The besties want another crack at Riot after Nikki Cross decided to get involved and cost them a match. Cross may be living it up with her SANITY boys, but she has her own ambitions, and dispatching of other female competition is the first step towards becoming women’s champion.

“THE DARKNESS OF A DREAM”

-The Velveteen Dream has his eyes GLUED to Aleister Black. Whether it’s an obsession or a jealous fit of rage the Dream means to settle some type of score with the tattooed asskicker. Black will be in action tonight against Lio Rush. Expect the Dream to be watching.

-Johnny Wrestling feels confident after picking up a couple of wins, and asked William Regal for a rematch with Andrade Cien Almas. He’ll get that match next week.

-Danny Burch came to the end of his mate Oney Lorcan after the latter was WRECKED by the new NXT powerhouse Lars Sullivan. Can anybody stop this bald behemoth?

Two debuts and a big title match make tonight’s NXT a must watch! Will you be?
