SHOW SUMMARY: This week, Rich chatted with Dominic DeAngelo (@dominicDeAngelo), PWTorch Specialist that covers “Rising Star / Fading Star” and recaps What Happened When for the PWPodcast recaps. Dominic is also well-versed in the local Pittsburgh wrestling scene and discussed rising promotions such as Keystone State Wrestling Association, the International Wrestling Cartel, rising stars in the area, and more. Rich also shared stories from his time assisting in meet-and-greets in the area while in college, and discussed local personalities like Bubba the Bulldog, the late Devil Bhudakahn (including a link to his memorial show), and three people that should be annoyed by the Owens/McMahon headbutt.

Also included is the VIP Aftershow from 9/2, which was mistakenly never published. That week was ripe for deeper diving and Rich discussed several topics, starting with an older email asking about the prospects of Tama Tonga getting more attention as New Japan makes inroads into the U.S. He then transitioned to answering a potpourri of listener emails, with questions on the alliances of promotions in the ’90s and early 2000s such as New Japan with ROH, WCW, and TNA, the current landscape of WWE relationships with independent promotions like Evolve, PROGRESS, and Shimmer, etc. Finally, Rich discussed four non-big four matches he enjoyed with builds outside of the Big Four.
