Intro: We voted which WrestleMania match we wanted to watch prior to the show starting:
(A) Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart – WM10
(B) Eddie Guerrero vs. Kurt Angle – WM20
(C) Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H – WM30
The vote was for Eddie vs Kurt. It was an abbreviated version of the match.
(1) Big Cass (w/Enzo Amore) defeated Jinder Mahal. Enzo & Cas do their opening and Jinder cuts off Cas during S-A-W-F-T. USA Chant when Jinder had the advantage. Cas wins with the empire elbow and a big boot.
(2) Golden Truth & Sin Cara & Curtis Axel beat The Shining Stars &Titus O’Neill & Bo Dallas. The Golden Truth did their rap and said “Allentown: what’s up?” The shining stars handed out their brochures. To start the match the face team did a lot of dancing/stalling and the crowd was into it. Sin Cara did a dive through the ropes onto Epico and Titus O’Neill. R-truth wins with the Lie-Detector over Primo.
(3) Neville beat Rich Swann to retain the Cruiserweight Title. The LED lights turned purple, but they didn’t change the ropes. In the beginning, Neville almost took the count out loss by walking up the ramp, but decided to come back into the ring. Mixed reaction of cheers and boos for Neville. Rich Swann hit a 450 seated seton. Fantastic!!! Neville jerks Rich Swann’s arm on the top rope and locks in the Rings of Saturn for the submission victory.
(4) Sami Zayn & Finn Balor beat Kevin Owens & Samoa Joe. Kevin Owens cut a promo on Allentown saying when he becomes US Champion at Wrestlemania, he will come back to Allentown and rename it “Kevintown.” When Balor came out, everyone did his entrance with him: EVERYONE did. “Let’s go Balor” chants throughout the match. The heels worked on Sami but then Balor got the hot tag. Balor went for the Coup De Gras on Joe but got crotched when Owens shook the rope. Sami hit the Blue Thunder Bomb on Joe and then Balor hit the Coup De Gras on Owens for the win.
(Intermission)
(5) Bayley & Sasha Banks beat Nia Jax & Charlotte Flair. The faces controlled the match for five minutes until Jax ran over Sasha mid-ring. The heels worked on Sasha but then Bayley got the hot tag. The crowd “Woooo”-ed all throughout the match. Bayley with the Bayley-to-Belly On Charlotte for the win.
(6) Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson (c) beat The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Big E) and Cesaro & Sheamus. Xavier Woods did not come out with The New Day. After 10 minutes of rotating one on one match ups between the six men, Big E launched Kofi Kingston onto Cesaro, Sheamus, and Gallows. Anderson used a school boy on Big E and put his feet on the ropes for the win. After the match, Gallows & Anderson continued to beat up Kofi & Big E. Cesaro & Sheamus for the save with Cesaro swinging Anderson about 25 rotations and catapulting him into a Brogue Kick. Then the four faces had a dance off with Sheamus getting the best reaction from the crowd.
(7) Roman Reigns beat Braun Strowman via DQ. Roman received 90 percent cheers during this entrance. The house show crowds do like him. Strowman dominated 90 percent of the match and Roman had little offense. Strowman threw Reigns into the stairs. The crowd was cheering for Roman throughout to get him going. After another five minutes of back and forth, Braun used the stairs on Roman causing a DQ finish. Reigns the winner by Disqualification. After the match, Roman speared Braun three times to send the crowd home happy.
