-WWE announced this week that Tinashe will sing “America the Beautiful” at WrestleMania next month. “Tinashe joins the likes of renowned artists Ray Charles, John Legend, Aretha Franklin, Nicole Scherzinger, and most recently Fifth Harmony, who have opened WWE’s annual pop-culture extravaganza,” said Neil Lawi, Senior Vice President and General Manager, WWE Music Group. “Tinashe will continue this great tradition and we look forward to her performance at this year’s WrestleMania.”
-WWE also announced that JBL and Ron Simmons will introduce Teddy Long and that John Cena will induct Kurt Angle in the Hall of Fame ceremony this year.
-In case you missed it earlier this week, WWE officially released Jack Swagger after he requested it privately and went public on the Chael Sonnen podcast detailing his reasons. WWE sent the following statement to PWTorch: ““WWE has come to terms on the release of Jack Swagger as of today, March 13, 2017. WWE wishes Swagger the best in all his future endeavors.”
-Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will host the final episode of Saturday Night Live’s current season on May 20.
