NXT LIVE EVENT REPORT

RIVERSIDE, CALIF. AT MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM

Approx. Attendance: 500-600
The venue is small as is, couple that with the ring and everything felt super intimate.
(1) No Way Jose defeated Riddick Moss via pinfall. No Way Jose as one would expect was insanely over.
(2) Aliyah defeated Liv Morgan via pinfall. This match was pretty good! Both seem still very new to wrestling, but boy did they win over the crowd!
(3) Patrick Clark defeated Tino Sabatelli via pinfall. Patrick Clark is ALL IN – as is Tino Sabatelli. Tino got solid heatt during the match, and Clark played the babyface well.
Wesley Blake came out and trash talked the fans. He asked Patrick Clark if he wanted to take the “Beautiful Blake” challenge. Clark did.
(4) Patrick Clark defeated Wesley Blake via pinfall. Quick match. Patrick Clark I’m fairly sure went to the Dolph school of selling.
(5) Asuka defeated Ember Moon via submission to retain the NXT Womans Championship. This match was very good, both woman can absolutely go. I can’t wait to see this on a Takeover special in the future.

(6) #DIY defeated The Revival via pinfall to retain the NXT Tag Team Championships. Match. Of. The. Night. Just absolutely beautiful. #DIY was insanely over, and The Revival are quite possibly the best tag team I have ever seen wrestle.
(7) Elias Sampson defeated Oney Lorcan via pinfall. Sampson won with his foot on the rope. Sampson had mega go-away heat.
Samoa Joe came out to trash talk. Got all his “So Cal” natives behind him, then tried to turn us against him. Didn’t work. Sorry Joe, we just loved you so much. He said the Doctor didn’t clear him but he was here to watch the Main Event.
(8) Shinsuke Nakamura & Tye Dillinger defaeted Cien Almas & Bobby Roode via pinfall when Nakamura pinned Almas. This is my second time seeing Nakamura in person; he really is something else. The charisma just oozes off that guy. “10” chants all night. I think it has the chance to become this generation’s “What!?” Fans would not boo Bobby Roode. Very good match, third best of the night.
