NEWS ITEMS: Undertaker announced for Smackdown, Lesnar to face Rusev, Smackdown compared to Fox News and Conan

-Undertaker has been announced for the Nov. 15 Smackdown TV event in Wiles-Barre, Pa., according to ProWrestling.net. This doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll be on TV, but having him show up and appear on Smackdown on the last show versus Survivor Series has interesting implications. Most likely he’s appearing because it’s the 900th edition of Smackdown and taker has been a big part of that show over the years. It will fuel optimism he’s bound for a WrestleMania match.

-WWE has announced that Brock Lesnar will face Rusev in Mexico City on their Dec. 3 house show.

-Tuesday night, WWE Smackdown drew 2.187 million viewers. In the 18-49 adult demo, it was the top rated show on cable that night. The two episodes of “Christly Knows Best” that followed were ranked no. 2 and no. 3 in that same demo. Compared to political coverage, the top rated Fox News show finished 11th in the 18-49 adult demo. Conan on TBS was ranked no. 44 with one-third the viewership in that demo.
