WWE is going hard for a Smackdown TV Ratings victory this week.

A.J. Styles will defend the WWE World Title against Dean Ambrose on Tuesday’s Smackdown in a re-match from the Backlash PPV.

The title match was announced by Daniel Bryan at the end of last week’s show. It fulfills Shane McMahon’s announcement on the post-Backlash Smackdown that Ambrose will get a one-on-one re-match against Styles.

The title match will bridge to the Styles vs. Ambrose vs. John Cena three-way WWE Title match at the No Mercy PPV on October 9.

Also advertised for Smackdown in Cleveland are hometown stars IC champion The Miz and Dolph Ziggler.

Plus, John Cena, Randy Orton, and Bray Wyatt.

For the live crowd in Cleveland, WWE is advertising a bonus main event of Styles & Miz & Wyatt vs. Cena & Ambrose & Orton in a six-man tag match.
