WWE Raw TV Preview 9/5
The Kevin Owens Era begins as new Universal champion Monday night from Kansas City.
The big question is how WWE begins the storyline of why Triple H helped Owens and cost Seth Rollins the Universal Title last Monday night in Houston.
In a situation involving four heels (Owens, Hunter, Rollins, and Stephanie McMahon), who emerges as the sympathetic babyface in this situation? And, will it set up Owens vs. Rollins for the Universal Title at Clash of Champions later this month?
Overall, it appears that Hunter has aligned with Owens and Stephanie is paired with Rollins. Plus, Roman Reigns has an issue with Hunter for costing him the title last Monday. This week’s Raw will be significant for setting up Raw’s Fall TV season against Monday Night Football competition.
Also advertised for Raw are U.S. champion Rusev, Chris Jericho, and Big Cass & Enzo Amore. Cass was involved in the Universal Title match, but was eliminated first before Hunter got involved in the outcome.
For Rusev, he currently does not have a foe after Reigns slid into the Universal Title picture following Finn Balor’s exit for injury.
After losing Balor, who was expected to be a centerpiece of Raw during the Fall season, WWE will be looking to re-arrange the puzzle pieces along with sorting out the Universal Title situation.
