SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
The annual George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame induction takes place this week in Waterloo, Iowa.
Final additions and subtractions to the scheduled attendees list includes:
– Stan Hansen has been added. The National Wrestling Hall of Fame announced Monday that Hansen will be making a rare public appearance.
– Terry Funk and Chael Sonnen will not be appearing this weekend. Sonnen was scheduled to receive the George Tragos Award.
“Both Sonnen and Funk had personal matters that prevent them from attending Hall of Fame weekend,” said Kyle Klingman, director of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum. “Both made the right decision in not attending. We are still very excited about the Hall of Fame weekend because of all the talent that will be in Waterloo.”
