SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
Enzo Amore & Big Cass joined Michael Cole for this week’s sit-down interview on WWE’s website.
Topics covered include what happens if they get drafted to separate brands? Big Cass said he’s focused on being a tag team right now, but if they get separated, then he will shift his focus to why he got into the business – being the very best in WWE and being in the top spot.
Asked about teaming with John Cena at Battleground, Enzo tried to play it cool without losing street cred by acting as if they’re teaming with early 2000s “Thuganomics” John Cena.
Meanwhile, Big Cass did the routine of “taking it away before putting him over” by noting he used to boo Cena out of the building when he went to MSG WWE shows when he was just a fan. But, now that he’s a wrestler in WWE, he has ultimate respect for Cena after watching his work ethic and seeing how high of a bar he set for the rest of the locker room.
The interview closed with a chat about A.J. Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows before Enzo & Cass team with Cena against The Club in a six-man tag match at Battleground.
Cass showed some personality mocking Cole for wanting to hear the line of how to describe The Club. Cass eventually gave it to Cole that they’re “SAWFT.”
