SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
TV viewership for this week’s TNA Impact increased six percent, thanks to an out-of-nowhere jump in female viewership.
TNA Impact Viewership Tracking
June 28: TNA Impact drew 322,000 viewers on Tuesday night, up six percent from last week.
In the demographics, Impact drew a median age viewer of 56.3 years-old, one of the oldest audiences this year.
As a result, the number of adults 18-49 who watched Impact was actually down from last week’s show.
In an interesting shift, males 18-49 fell hard to a year-low on Pop TV and females 18-49 jumped to a near-year-high.
- Males 18-49 fell to 45,000 viewers from 75,000 last week
- Females 18-49 jumped to 60,000 viewers from 35,000 last week
The resulting split was 43 percent m18-49 and 57 percent f18-49, the first time this year that more adult females watched Impact than males.
With the increase in female viewers, there was a soap opera that had 400,000 viewers for POPTV and placed on the top 150 cable shows. I am guessing that aired before Impact Wrestling. Which would explain the increase with females.
Good bounce back number.
They also likely will get a late bump from people trying to tune into Big Brother After Dark now that the summer is here too.
