SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
During New Japan’s “Best of the Super Jrs.” tournament last month, Will Ospreay and Ricochet put together a buzz-worthy, athletic showcase that blew up social media for a week.
One of the outspoken critics from the previous era of pro wrestling was former WCW Hvt. champion Vader, who downplayed the match as not fitting for pro wrestling.
Now, Ospreay and Vader are actually going to meet in a wrestling ring.
Revolution Pro announced Sunday that Vader vs. Ospreay has been signed for August 12 in London at York Hall.
This is the second big match announcement for the U.K.-based Rev Pro promotion, following the announcement of Zack Sabre, Jr. vs. NJPW’s NEVER Openweight champion Shibata in a singles match on July 10 in London.
Rev Pro has set up two major headline matches for their summer shows at York Hall, following up on their recent burst in popularity hosting qualifying matches for WWE’s Cruiserweight tournament.
