Engaged couple Rusev and Lana appeared on Tuesday night’s SportsCenter segment for a brief conversation with Coach in-between sports coverage.
Rusev mainly stuck to his humorous dry-wit, broken-English heel persona, while Lana’s foreign accent came and went trying to maintain her character.
Asked about his first two WrestleManias, Rusev said Vince McMahon was totally impressed with him last year that he gave him a tank as a present. Rusev deadpanned that he drives it around Nashville now, even though it has “gas consumption” issues.
As for taking a Stone Cold Stunner at this year’s Mania, Rusev said he figures he won out since Austin hurt his shoulder and Rusev only got a busted lip.
The conversation also included Lana hyping their wedding on “Total Divas” this coming season. Lana heeled it up that it will be “inspiring” and viewers will be honored to see it play out.
The interview closed with rapid-fire questions about traveling on the road together, booking hotels, and watching sports.
Rusev said he’s a fan of Real Madrid, Lana said she just defers to Rusev on sports, and they agreed that Rusev books all the hotels.
