SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
This week’s TNA Impact “May Mayhem” episode jumped 15 percent in TV viewership.
TNA Impact Viewership Tracking
May 24: TNA Impact drew 359,000 viewers Tuesday night on Pop TV. Impact was up 15 percent from 311,000 viewers last week and 28 percent from one of the low points of the year two weeks ago.
By contrast, the numbers for this week’s episode looks like one of the high points of the year.
The audience of 359,000 viewers was the most in the 9:00 p.m. EST timeslot this year, which also means the most viewers since Impact moved to one Tuesday night airing on April 12.
Tuesday’s audience also compares favorably to when Impact had a live and replay audience on Tuesday nights at the start of the year.
Impact averaged 371,357 total viewers from January 5 to April 5 when they had two airings. Tuesday’s show drew 359,000 viewers without a replay timeslot.
– DEMOGRAPHICS: Impact’s median age viewer was 52.3 years-old, improving on 55.4 years-old last week.
As a result of more total viewers and a younger audience, Impact increased 36 percent in adults 18-49 viewership. Impact drew the second-most 18-49 viewers since moving to one airing, trailing the “Sacrifice” special in April.
The split was 61 percent males 18-49 and 39 percent females 18-49, the same as last week.
It points to both the m18-49 and f18-49 audiences growing together from last week. Both demos drew the second-most viewers since Impact moved to one timeslot, trailing Sacrifice.
This is great. Very happy. But Brad Schwartz of POP TV should still move Impact to another night ASAP. Do not let the WWE ruin all the hard work TNA and POP put into making Impact a success on the network. Just move it to Wednesday. The TNA fans are loyal and will follow.
