5/14 WWE NXT in Portland Results – Joe vs. Balor and post-match brawl wraps tour, huge praise for Tag Title match, Nakamura, Aries, William Regal, Tucker Knight

(1) No Way Jose beat Murphy in the opener.

(2) Tucker Knight returned home to beat Tino Sabbatelli via Thesz Press.

(3) Bayley beat Nia Jax via roll-up.

(4) Austin Aries beat Mojo Rawley. The crowd turned on Mojo in favor of Aries. Lots of taunts toward Mojo.

(5) NXT tag champions American Alpha (Jason Jordan & Chad Gable) beat The Revival (Dash & Dawson) to retain the NXT Tag Titles. Strong match that received lots of live praise.

At intermission for #NXTPortland. By far, the best match so far was #AmericanAlpha v. #TheRevival. Damned good wrasslin'! @thewadekeller

NXT GM William Regal came out after intermission to speak to the crowd. The Drifter came out next, which brought out Shinsuke Nakamura.

(6) Shinsuke Nakamura beat “The Drifter” Elias Samson.

(7) NXT Women’s champion Asuka beat Alexa Bliss via submission to the Askukalock to retain the NXT Women’s Title.

(8) NXT champion Samoa Joe beat Finn Balor to retain the NXT Title. Joe won via roll-up with a handful of tights.

This led to a post-match brawl that brought out the entire locker room, including Nakamura, trying to break up the fight. Joe was eventually pulled to the back while Balor stood tall in the ring. Chaotic ending to the tour. (Video Footage)
