Former TNA star Eric Young made his WWE debut at Thursday night’s NXT TV tapings at Full Sail University in Florida.
The first episode opened with new NXT champion Samoa Joe bragging about conquering the roster after taking the NXT Title from Finn Balor at last Thursday’s NXT live show.
Eric Young interrupted, creating a mini-TNA reunion in the shadows of Universal Studios.
This set up the main event of the first episode. Joe won the non-title match via submission to his rear-naked choke submission. Plenty of TNA references from the live crowd during the match.
