SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
WWE Studios and actor Wesley Snipes have signed a multi-movie deal beyond the recently-announced “Temple” movie, reports Deadline.com.
Temple is the first of a handful of movie projects in the works between WWE Studios, Snipes, and Gene Simmons’s “Erebus Pictures” label working with WWE.
Temple is currently in production starring Snipes, Anne Heche, and injured WWE star Seth Rollins.
The second movie project is scheduled to begin production later in 2016.
“We are always looking for the ideal talent to extend our brand and Wesley is the right combination of action movie star and savvy producer,” WWE Studios president Michael Luisi said. “We look forward to creating exciting new content with the perfect partner.”
“The action genre has been a very big and important part of my career. There is no better way to extend my love for dynamic action-based entertainment than with a company like WWE, who have been entertaining fans for decades with incredible visuals and deliciously entertaining storylines,” said Snipes.
