April 5 Report

While recovering from injury, former WWE World Hvt. champion Seth Rollins has been tagged for a WWE Studios movie project, reports Deadline.com.

Rollins is slated for a supporting role in “Temple,” a thriller under WWE Studios’s new “Erebus Pictures” label with KISS rocker Gene Simmons.

The starring roles went to Wesley Snipes and Ann Heche for the first WWE/Simmons movie collaboration.

Filming is scheduled to begin this week. Simmons and WWE Studios president Michael Luisi are executive producers. John Stockwell is the director.

The description of the movie reads: “The thriller follows a team of trained operatives who find themselves trapped inside an isolated military compound after its artificial intelligence is suddenly shut down. There, they begin to experience strange and horrific phenomena.”

Information on the release will be announced at a later time. WWE will promote the movie on TV and social media, WWE Studios will handle North American sales, and Voltage Pictures will handle international sales.
