Especially when WWE has shown no signs of changing The Undertaker vs. Shane McMahon match at WM32. WWE should have kept Shane off TV for the entire WM32 build-up to create this great mystery for what is a spectacle match. But, instead, they’ve put him out on TV to expose his soft punches and rusty promo skills, while reducing his pop. Fortunately, Shane is a likable guy, so the audience will be forgiving, especially when he acknowledges his flub.

– Trying to prop up WrestleMania in the Dallas/Arlington area is The Bubble, which announced a project to promote WM32 with street signs, banners, and various visual aids to increase awareness for the event at AT&T Stadium, especially for people driving through the DFW region. The Bubble used data from the Texas Department of Transportation to estimate that the program will make “9.1 million impressions” during the program running March 16 through April 6. (Press Release)
– For his latest article on Fox Sports’s website, Jim Ross goes back in time to WM23 in Detroit when Donald Trump ramped up his wrestling persona to pave the way for a political run. That is taking shape nearly a decade later with Trump vying for U.S. presidency and using wrestling tactics to draw in voters, as described by Ross, who worked behind-the-scenes with Trump during the WM23 build-up.
– From the legal file: WWE was awarded $23.8 million in a court case involving an international broadcaster. A Connecticut federal court awarded WWE the damages from a dispute with Thai broadcaster CTH Content Company. The dispute was over Raw and Smackdown broadcasting fees. According to Law360, CTH failed to answer the complaint. Now it remains to be seen if WWE is able to collect.
Also, “The Rock” Dwayne Johnson remains a defendant along with Mark Wahlberg and HBO in a case regarding the “Ballers” series. TMZ reports that writers Everette Silas and Sherri Littleton have filed a $200 million suit against the parties, alleging they took their idea for “Off Season” and turned it into “Ballers.” HBO is maintaining their position believing the suit is frivolous.
– “The Dog Wedding” movie starring NXT head trainer Matt Bloom is expanding into more theaters. The movie will be shown at Cinema Village in New York this weekend and the Laemmle’s Music Hall in Beverly Hills, Calif. on March 18. “Dog” is also available for digital download through iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, and more outlets. – Keith Lipinski was interviewed on WGN Radio about AAW’s upcoming anniversary event and booking Mick Foley.
– Canadian Wrestling’s Elite (CWE) is moving into a larger venue when they return to Calgary, Alb., Canada on May 21. CWE will be at Shakers Fun Centre with a roster that includes Kazarian, Silas Young, Lio Rush, and more stars to be announced. (Full Event Info)
