– Canadian Wrestling’s Elite’s big tour of Canada headlined by Colt Cabana continues Wednesday through to Saturday. Promoter Danny Warren talked to MyToba.ca about CWE’s growing business in a new interview.
– Chavo Guerrero, Jr. talked to the Huffington Post about Lucha Underground trying to be completely different than WWE by actually being an alternative, not a “WWE knock-off” like other promotions.
“Every new organization, everybody that starts out, always says they are ‘something new,’ but all they ever are is a bad copy of WWE,” Guerrero said. “Our TV just gets you to watch from one TV show to the next, to the next and the next show. – Chavo also talked to Fox News about Eddie Guerrero’s legacy ten years after his death where people still reference Eddie when they see Chavo in public. “It just shows you how good Eddie was, and how well he connected with the fans,” Chavo told Fox News Latino. “Not only was he great in the ring, but his promos and everything … People really connected with him. They loved him. He always wore his heart on his sleeve, and people saw that.”
But, Chavo added: “It’s a bitter sweet. You’re happy they’re chanting his name, but, at the same time, it makes me miss him more. Sometimes you want to move on, but you can’t. He meant so much to so many different people.” (Interview at FoxNews.com)
– Ahead of Tuesday night’s Smackdown TV taping in Indianapolis, Devon Dudley talked to news outlet WIBC about the Dudleys returning to WWE, Vince McMahon, and other topics.
– 2015 WWE Hall of Famer Tatsumi Fujinami is presenting a new “Dradition” show on March 29 in Tokyo, Japan. Fujinami is scheduled for a tag team main event opposite Jun Akiyama. Former TNA wrestler Sanada is also on the card. (Announcement News via PuroresuSpirit.net)
– The start-up Atlanta Wrestling Entertainment promotion is taking the next step by booking top independent stars Sami Callihan and Tommaso Ciampa for their next big show on April 17 in Atlanta.
